Eye Health & Ayurvedic Eye Care

A family speciality since the Lahore years and the 1947 Eye Hospital.

Eye care holds a special place in the Dogra family. Vaid Kaviraj Pt. Amarnath Dogra was known for his Ayurvedic eye-care practice, and in 1947, after Partition, he founded the Dogra Ayurvedic Eye Hospital in Jalandhar. His son Vaid Dr. Virender Kumar Dogra and grandson Dr. Varun Dogra have carried that interest forward as part of a broader Ayurvedic practice. About Ayurvedic eye care

How the Ayurvedic approach works

The same careful start, a different plan for each person

  1. 01

    Consultation

You talk through your concern, history, routine and any reports with Dr. Varun, at a clinic or by video or audio call.

  2. 02

    Individual assessment

Your concern is understood in the context of your constitution (Prakriti), digestion, sleep, stress and current treatment.

  3. 03

    A personal plan

Where suitable, the plan may include therapies, formulations and diet and lifestyle guidance. Nothing is one-size-fits-all.

  4. 04

    Follow-up

Progress is reviewed and the plan adjusted where needed. Any care prescribed by your other doctors continues.

Questions

Good to know

Not sure where your concern fits? You do not need to know. A consultation is the place to work that out together.

What is the difference between Problems We Treat and Care & Treatments?

Problems We Treat starts from what you are experiencing, such as acidity, joint pain or hair fall. Care & Treatments describes the approaches themselves: consultation, Panchakarma, therapies, formulations and diet and lifestyle guidance.

Do I need a diagnosis before booking?

No. You can book a consultation simply to talk about your concern. If you already have a diagnosis, reports or prescriptions, please bring them.

My concern is not listed here. Can I still consult?

Yes. These eight areas are a guide, not a complete list. Send a WhatsApp message describing your concern and the clinic will reply.

Can I continue my current medicines?

Please do not stop or change any prescribed medicine on your own. Share everything you take at the consultation, and discuss any change with the doctor who prescribed it.

Can I consult online?

Yes. Video and audio consultations are available for people who cannot visit Phagwara or Jalandhar, in India or abroad.
