Psoriasis

Psoriasis causes red, dry, scaly patches that can itch and hurt. Ayurveda takes a whole-body approach, working on blood, digestion and diet.

Overview

What is psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a common skin condition where skin cells grow too fast. This builds up thick, red, dry patches with silvery scales.

It most often affects the elbows, knees and scalp. Psoriasis is not contagious and does not spread by touch.

The Ayurvedic view

Ayurveda focuses on purifying the blood and tissues, clearing toxins and restoring digestion. Nourishing herbs are then used to support the skin.
