About this area

An overview

Weight gain, a fatty liver on an ultrasound, rising sugar or cholesterol readings, low energy and poor sleep often have something in common: the way we eat, move, sleep and work every day.

This page explains how the Ayurvedic approach to metabolic and lifestyle-related concerns is planned at our clinics, with a strong focus on practical diet and routine changes that fit your life.

The Ayurvedic view

Ayurveda gives great importance to Dinacharya (daily routine) and Ritucharya (seasonal routine). Metabolic and lifestyle concerns are therefore approached through the details of your day: when you wake, eat, work, move and sleep, adapted to your constitution and circumstances.

Urgent care first

When not to wait

Ayurvedic care is not for emergencies. If you notice any of these, seek emergency medical care immediately.

  • Chest pain or pressure
  • Sudden weakness on one side, a drooping face or slurred speech
  • Very high or very low sugar readings with confusion, sweating or shaking
  • A foot wound that is not healing or is changing colour

Your current medicines. Please do not stop or change any prescribed medicine on your own. Share everything you take at the consultation, and discuss any change with the doctor who prescribed it.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can I continue my diabetes or blood pressure medicines?

Yes. Do not stop or change any prescribed medicine on your own, and keep up your regular monitoring with your doctor. Share all your medicines and reports at the consultation.

Is there a fixed diet chart?

No single chart suits everyone. Guidance is shaped around your routine, preferences, reports and constitution, and adjusted at follow-up.

How long before I notice a change?

It varies from person to person and depends on many factors, including how consistently changes are followed. No fixed timeline can be promised.

Can I consult online from abroad?

Yes. Video and audio consultations are available for people in India and abroad.
