Consultation

Booking, what to expect and online consultations.

What happens during an Ayurvedic consultation?

Dr. Varun Dogra takes time to understand your health concerns, medical history, current medicines, diet, sleep and daily routine. He explains how your concerns are understood in Ayurvedic terms and, where suitable, suggests an individual approach that may include Ayurvedic formulations, therapies and diet and lifestyle guidance. Follow-up visits are used to review progress and adjust the approach when required. More about the consultation.

Is Ayurvedic care personalized?

Yes. Ayurveda looks at each person individually, including their constitution (Prakriti), history and lifestyle, so two people with a similar concern may receive different advice. Recommendations are made only after an individual consultation and may vary according to each person's circumstances.

Can I consult for long-term health concerns?

Yes. Many people consult about long-standing concerns, for example digestive, joint, skin or lifestyle-related ones (see Problems we treat). Dr. Varun will discuss what Ayurvedic care may offer in your situation and what to realistically expect. Individual responses vary, and some concerns also need ongoing care from your regular doctor or specialist.

Can I consult online?

Yes. Video and audio consultations are arranged on WhatsApp for people who cannot visit a clinic. Send “I want a Video Consultation” or “I want an Audio Consultation” to +91 99880 25880 and the clinic will reply with a time. Some concerns may still need an in-person visit.

What should I bring to my consultation?

Please bring any recent medical reports and test results, a list of all the medicines and supplements you take (or their packs and prescriptions), and a short note of your main concerns and questions. For an online consultation, keep these ready to share on WhatsApp.

Ayurveda

Prakriti, Panchakarma and how Ayurveda fits with other care.

What is Prakriti?

Prakriti is the Ayurvedic idea of a person's natural constitution, described through the three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Traditionally it is considered when giving diet and lifestyle guidance. Our Prakriti self-assessment gives a general idea only; it is not a medical diagnosis.

What is Panchakarma?

Panchakarma is a group of traditional Ayurvedic therapeutic procedures. Whether any procedure is suitable, and which one, is decided only after an individual assessment; it is not right for everyone.

How long does Ayurvedic treatment take?

There is no fixed duration. It depends on the person, the concern, how long it has been present and how the advice is followed. Dr. Varun reviews progress at follow-up visits and adjusts the approach when required. Individual responses vary.

Can Ayurveda be used alongside conventional medical care?

Ayurvedic care can often be considered alongside conventional medical care. Please tell Dr. Varun about every medicine you take, keep your regular doctor informed, and do not stop or change prescribed medicines on your own. Ayurveda is not a replacement for necessary conventional or emergency medical care.

Eye care

Ayurvedic eye care and when to see an eye specialist.

Is Ayurvedic eye care suitable for everyone?

No single approach suits everyone. Suitability depends on the person and the eye concern, and is decided after a consultation. Ayurvedic eye care does not replace examination, diagnosis or treatment by a qualified ophthalmic professional, and some eye conditions need specialist care.

When should I consult an ophthalmologist?

Seek urgent care at an eye hospital or emergency department straight away for sudden loss or blurring of vision, severe eye pain, an eye injury, a chemical splash or any other urgent eye symptom. Please also see an ophthalmologist for regular eye check-ups and for any ongoing or worsening eye problem; Ayurvedic advice is not a substitute for this.

Eye emergency? For sudden vision loss, severe eye pain, an eye injury or a chemical splash, go to the nearest eye hospital or emergency department now. Do not wait for a consultation.

Products

Using formulations and finding product information.

How should Ayurvedic formulations be used?

Use any formulation only according to its label and the guidance of a qualified professional. Do not change the amount or combine products on your own, and tell the doctor about other medicines you take, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any existing health conditions. Individual responses may vary.

Where can I find product ingredients and precautions?

On each product's own page and on the product label. Browse the range on our Products page, and if anything is unclear, ask the clinic on WhatsApp before use.
