Excess uric acid
The body makes too much uric acid, or the kidneys do not remove enough.

Problems we treat · Joint, Bone & Musculoskeletal Health
Gout causes sudden, painful swelling in the joints. Ayurvedic care, diet and routine may help manage flare-ups.
Overview
Gout is a painful metabolic condition. Uric acid builds up and forms sharp, needle-like crystals in the joints, causing pain, redness and swelling.
It usually starts in the big toe. Over time it can spread to the ankles, knees, hands, feet, wrists and elbows.
The Ayurvedic view
Ayurveda calls gout Vatarakta, linked to Vata and the blood. Care uses herbal preparations, diet and daily routines that support cleansing of the blood.

Ayurvedic approach
Dr. Varun listens to your symptoms, history, food habits and routine, and looks at any reports or medicines you already take.
Nadi pariksha (pulse) and Prakriti (body type) assessment help him understand your individual balance.
Where suitable, a personal plan may combine diet and routine changes, classical Ayurvedic medicines and, for some people, Panchakarma.
Progress is reviewed and the plan adjusted, at the clinic or on WhatsApp.

Home remedies
Swallow 2-3 fresh, peeled garlic cloves with water on an empty stomach in the morning.
Boil about 10 rose petals in 4 tablespoons of vinegar until it thickens. Cool and apply on the painful joint.
Do not apply the paste on broken skin, and check with your doctor before daily garlic if you take blood thinners or uric acid medicine.
